Come From Away

Winner of 4 Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Come From Away has taken the West End by storm. Playing to nightly standing ovations at London’s Phoenix Theatre, Come From Away also continues sold-out, record-breaking engagements on Broadway, across the USA and in Canada.

This joyous musical shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world that became grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.

As uneasiness turned into trust and music soared into the night, gratitude grew into friendships and their stories would become a celebration of hope, humanity and unity.

Awarded the Tony® Award for Best Direction of a Musical, Christopher Ashley’s production guides audiences through a colourful and spirited cast of characters, brought to life by Tony® and Grammy® nominated writing team Irene Sankoff and David Hein.

  • Brilliant best show

    11 December 2022

We loved this show. Good mix of humour and sadness in line with the subject. I liked the way that the cast had a mixed age group too.

  • Fast paced, emotions, non stop Excellence

    11 September 2022

Wasn’t sure what to expect of a musical based around 9/11. Staging was minimal but used to great effect. Great narrative telling a little known part of 9/11 (at least by me), interspersed with music, songs and emotion. Cast and band were excellent.

  • Incredible piece of theatre!

    26 August 2022

It was our second time seeing this magnificent show. The incredible music and brilliant way the actors take you on a journey through the real life events that happened at Gander nearly 11 years ago. The powerful imagery is created using minimal set, props and costume items as well as having the musicians as part of the ensemble on stage. I definitely would recommend anyone if they are thinking about seeing it to go quickly before it ends in January.
