Starring Jane Horrocks and Mark Bonnar
Thomas Eccleshare makes his debut at the Royal Court Theatre with Instructions for Correct Assembly.
Hari and Max are giving parenthood a second go (they weren’t very happy with their first attempt). This time will be different though. They’ve got a 30-day money back guarantee, and instruction manual simple steps to follow the entire way. They’re sure that, if they stick to the guide, everything will work out perfectly.
“This might be a little more complicated than the bed but still, I’m sure it’s the kind of thing we can crack on our own.”
Thomas Eccleshare won the Verity Bargate Award in 2011 for his play Pastoral, and he went on to become Soho’s Pearson Playwright in Residence in 2012. His other work includes The Light Princess (Tobacco Factory Theatre, 2016), and L’Elisir D’Amore (King’s Head Theatre, 2013).
Instructions for Correct Assembly is directed by Hamish Pirie, associate director at the Royal Court whose previous work at the theatre includes Goats, Violence & Son, Who Cares, and Teh Internet is Serious Business.
