It’s time to change the game.
The country that gave the world football has since delivered a painful pattern of loss. Why can’t England’s men win at their own game? The team has the worst track record for penalties in the world, and manager Gareth Southgate knows he needs to open his mind and face up to the years of hurt to take team and country back to the promised land.
Joseph Fiennes’ portrayal of Gareth Southgate is ‘pitch-perfect’ (Time Out) in this ‘thrilling’ (Sunday Times) new play by James Graham, with set design by Es Devlin. Graham reunites with director Rupert Goold, following their acclaimed productions of Tammy Faye and Ink, in this gripping ‘new stage epic’ (Telegraph) about both nation and game.

Fascinating to see the psychological side of management. Interesting to see the cast play several parts. Good use of the effects on stage.

The show was fantastic. With pace right from the start. I thought that the cast were tremendous. I am deaf and the deaf aid that I was given was the best of any theatre in London.

I am not much of a reviewer but for what it's worth I really enjoyed the night and would highly recommend going to see Dear England. if I had one critiscism I feel it could have been 20 to 30 minutes shorter quiet easily.

An absolutely fantastic show with an amazing cast especially an outstanding performance from Ralph Fiennes as Gareth Southgate I was quite tearful during some scenes-very emotional and this review from a non football fan I think tells you want an extraordinary evening it was I’d even see it again!
