Grease The Musical

Have a blast this summer as GREASE THE MUSICAL returns to wow the West End for another strictly limited season.

Jason Donovan star as ‘Teen Angel’ and Peter Andre stars as ‘Vince Fontaine’ and 'Teen Angel' in this gritty, electrifying and ‘most dazzling version’ (Smooth FM) that plays at London’s Dominion Theatre from 2nd June until 28th October only.

After a whirlwind summer romance, leather-clad greaser Danny and girl-next-door Sandy are unexpectedly reunited when she transfers to Rydell High for senior year. But can they survive the trials and tribulations of teenage life and find true love once more?

Dan Partridge, Olivia Moore and Jocasta Almgill reprise their roles as Danny, Sandy and Rizzo in this acclaimed production that’s bursting with hits including Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want. GREASE THE MUSICAL is directed by the Leicester Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, and choreographed by the legendary Dame Arlene Phillips.

If you go to the show expecting it to be the same as the film you will be very disappointed. I was aware that it was different and wasn’t sure how it was going to be. It was quite a slow start but it got better and I ended up really enjoying it. There are all the familiar songs and some new ones. There are lots of lines from the original film that you’ll recognise. I found that Sandy didn’t stand out as being a main part, Rizzo and Frenchy seemed to have more of a storyline. I wouldn’t go and see it again but I’m glad that I’ve seen it.

  • Not the best West End Musical

    22 September 2023

I have been to many musicals over the last 30 years and unfortunately Grease was not up to the mark. Sitting towards the back of the stalls, the sound was muffled. Which was a shame to the performing artists who are talented singers. If it wasn't for Peter Andre and Jason Donavan making an actual appearance on the main stage. I would have left the show. Sorry.
