Find EventsFilm4 Summer Screen: Clueless (cert 12A)
Despite having a computerised wardrobe planner and personal masseuse, Cher insists that she actually has ‘a way normal life for a teenage girl’, in which school takes a backseat to wardrobe issues and match-making. When new student Tai arrives, Cher’s quest to find her the perfect boyfriend leads her to question her own seemingly perfectly life – a campaign for self-improvement encouraged by her super-judgmental ex-stepbrother.
A cast of endearing and adorable characters, all dressed in some of the finest 90s fashions, help turn this loose adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma into a colourful, feel-good comedy classic. The late Brittany Murphy, Stacey Dash and Paul Rudd are amongst those providing Silverstone with support, although nobody delivers the iconic, ‘As if!’ quite like Alicia!
Jonbenet Blonde (of Sink the Pink) will set the 90s mood with a live DJ set from 19.00.

What should I bring?
Audiences are welcome to bring their own blankets, small cushions and backrests to sit on.
You can also pre order a blanket and backrest package at the same time as purchasing tickets, to collect at the venue on the night. These are yours to keep after the event.
Alternatively, blankets, backrests and cushions can be purchased on-site for £5.00–£15.00.
For this year there will be a very limited number of seats available for audience members who would prefer a seat. Seats are unallocated and situated at the rear of the courtyard. Audiences should be aware that unless they purchase the seated option for an extra £5 when buying their ticket for the screening, there are no other seats available in the courtyard; chairs, large items or portable furniture, inflatable or otherwise are not allowed. There is no cloakroom onsite.
